sent messages deletion

Hello,
I am evaluating the service and I need an information.
I have seen that all the sent messages are archived.
Is there a way to avoid this, or to delete them?
I haven't found this option.
If I can't delete them, how often they are deleted from the system?

Unfortunately we do delete sent messages on customers accounts. This is due to this information being required for auditing purposes. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
