format date so that voice spells it as a date

Postby kelsius » Tue May 25, 2010 4:07 pm

How should I format a date in the text so that the automated voice spells it as a date rather than a simple text.

I am using the following format: dd/mm/YYYY but the voice spells it as 01 dash 05 dash 2010

Hi Kelsius,

I have just sent a test message to test this for you. To make sure the date is read out correctly you should put the date in either of these formats:

DD Month Year, DD/MM/YY. DD-MM-YY

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Many thanks,

Leanne

Thanks Leanne.

On a different note, is there a way we can be alerted of new releases before they occur live on your system?

Here is the reason...
In late 2009, I discovered that the sentat date from your web service was formated on 12 hours rather than 24 hours a day. (I remember notifying esendex.co.uk center at the time)

I had to implement a call escallation system using your service and I adapted my software to your date format.

Recently I noticed the date format had been transformed to 24 hours (around 01-06-2010). So my escalation would not work any longer for non acknowledged calls in the afternoon, until early the next morning. You can just imagine angry customers getting up at midnight to answer calls that had no longer relevance.

How can you ensure this will never happen again? By letting us know in advance what your fixes/improvements are of course.

So where else can I register to find out what your next release will contain?????
